Recommendations for best Rust server host?
Which server host do you guys recommand in 2019? I'm currently at GTX but I feel they aren't as good as they used to anymore so i'm investigating other options.
The best one is to buy a used server ($300 or under) host it yourself. If you don't have a static IP address, use the free DDNS.net.

I use Streamline after a very bad time with Multiplay (not recommended) and have no problems so far, it depends on your needs, budget, country you are in etc,

I prefer to rent it though

these are 10x more expensive though. What makes that worth it?

Too expensive for me for sure, the advantage if you can afford it is that you dont share the "machine" with anyone and all the resources are yours, There is still a difference in price, For a 100 slot 32gb ram with "real time (?) CPU priority, HPGS plus, host based in Sydney (same city) it would cost $364.50 a quarter, While the other will cost approx $442.00 .
Its all up to what you can afford and what services (full ftp dashboard, response time, etc) they offer.

Maybe if you have a 150+ people Rust server where people donate regulary but for a small time server owner this is out of the question. Is there something nice in the middle? So not a cheap host that shares machines but not your own entire server machine as well?

Those prices (Orange's link) aren't that bad for a dedicated server!

Maybe look up reseller game hosting? Getting a reseller account doesn't mean you have to resell it and should mean sharing with less than a normal game hosting account.

I'm using Low.ms for my server and it works fine for me.

how many slots and how many online players? Is it heavily modded (how many ents)?

Its a good price for Sydney on a shared cpu server, The mods depend on the server owner,
But there is no dedicated host in Australia.
You can check their site for any details , the link is there.

@Goldie I'm having 100 slots server, but I didn't get more than 25 players... cause I suck at advertising. As for mods there are about 33k ents.

I didn't have any huge problems with it till now, the support is pretty good as well and in case anything happens, they reimburse without hesitation.

Hmm im currently around 20-30 players but entity count is easily between 80k and 100k so it's difficult to compare.

Heavily modded servers just quickly grow big and then suddenly it stops working, the thing is i'm not sure if a more expensive host also will run better because I had servers last year with 50+ players online and 150k ents or something without problems on a cheap host. So it's kinda hit or miss with this.
