when I do the mod reload or restart the server the kits are no longer working.  the /command fails to open any kits already made as well

As Admin what do you get when you type /kit list ?
When you created them (in chat) did you add items ? (what ever you are equpped with)

i got nothing, i had to recreate them, so far they seem to be staying

I think you must have created them without any items in them, that is why they are not showing in list.
