Kits overwrites inventory after death

I had a player tell me when he died his inventory was full of red berry clones BUT after death he had half the amount on the dead body and none on him when he was outside of his TC range; at a monument; another another time he was walking and killed by a bear outside of TC and monuments.  My game mode is SOFTCORE...

According to a google/gemini search on "in softcore rust do you keep items on death" this is what we got: "In softcore Rust, you do not lose everything when you die. Instead, if you die outside of a building privilege radius, you automatically respawn with 50% of your inventory (including 50% of your stacked items and hotbar). The remaining items stay on your physical corpse for you to retrieve if you can get back to it"

Test Done @ Launch Site (outside TC; fails):

With the KIT mod loaded, I filled my inventory with red clones except the clothes inventory then I died and found half of the red clones on the dead body and none on the newly spawned me; but I did have the starter kit.

With the KIT mod unloaded I tested the same again and saw that half the amount was on my newly spawned body and the other half was on the dead body.

Test Done @ my base (inside TC; works)
