Is there a way so people can view VIP kits but just not be able to claim them unless they get VIP?

You create a permission for each kit when you create the kit, You only grant that permission to those groups (rank groups if using playerrankings) that you want to be able to use the kit. other people (if option set to true) can see those kits but will not be able to redeem them

I do have the VIP permission already. But if I give everyone that permission they will have VIP. You mentioned rank groups. Is that like auth level? Do I need another plugin to do this?

When you set a kit up you set the authority level, Admin = level 2, Moderators/Vip = level 1 , Players = level 0 , Players are unable to redeem level 1 or 2 kits as they dont have that authority,  All other kits should have a permission created for them ,

I don't want to give permission for them to take the VIP kits. I just want them to be able to see the VIP kits. So they can look before they buy.

You are not reading the answer, the VIP kit(s)  would have a permision created  (by you) such as "kits.vip1" or ":kits.vip2". YOU WOULD NOT GRANT THAT PERMISSION TO NON VIP'S. No one can redeem that kit unless you have granted them the permission , but other people (if option set to true) can see those kits but will not be able to redeem them

I get it now '"Show kits with permissions assigned to players without the permission": false,' set this to true.
