when i edit kits the field where the file name goesis blank. where can i find the file names for the kits?
Odd question
What do you mean ?
when you want to create a kit you get this screen
https://i.imgur.com/3Drujfp.png?2
When you have created the kit and want to edit it you get this kind of screen
https://i.imgur.com/JyU0LDM.png?1
When you create a kit and save it the information for that kit goes into your server
File Manager > \oxide\data\Kits\kits_data.json
and in that second screenshot the firld for the file name is blank.it doesn't show you the actual file name. and i donot see where in the data file the file name is recorded...
What file name ? The first screenshot shows an unedited kit edit screen , the second shows a created kit , it lists the name of the kit and (as stated before) once you have saved that kit it will be in the kit. data.json file and will look like this
I dont know what other file you are either looking for or referring to ??

]I dont know what other file you are either looking for or referring to ??
there's a field for the kit file name and it's empty
dante2000there's a field for the kit file name and it's empty
ALL the fields are empty till you enter the details you want, you name the kit, you enter the details you want to show, you put the image link in that field, etc, etc, etc and you add the kit items from your inventory and then you save it !
The plugin doesnt magically create kits for you.
If you created a kit and forgot to save and (there is a notification that it is saved) then everything will stay empty.
i know that. ffs i'm not an idiot. i'm talking about the kit edit screen, but thank you for being so condescending.

I know that you are talking about the kit edit screen and complaining that the boxes you put information in are empty ?
I am not being condescending i just cannot understand what the problem is ? I have created over 50 kits using the method(s) shown in my posts with no problems at all,
The kit edit screen shows an empty edit box *shown in my post above, You enter the information into the boxes , when you have finished you save the kit ,
Then it will look like the screenshot *again shown in my post above, if you didnt save it then the box will remain empty, and if you type /kit edit <kitname> it will say "kit does not exist".
yes and i'm asking where the file names are stored since they aren't showing up in the edit screen. and yes, you were being extremely condescnding and cpntinue to do so. asking for information is not the same thing as complaining. if you aren't going to be helpful at least be a decent human being and don't be a toxic troll.

I have told you where the file names are stored , not only that i have told you how to find them and how to edit it them, if you are too dense to understand that i am sorry but i cannot help you, BUT I WILL GO THROUGH IT ONE MORE TIME
Please get someone to read it to you.
Type /kit add <kitname>
The GUI screen will open showing an empty gui box,
Enter the information in the boxes as required
Ensure you are wearing the clothing you want in the kit and the weapons are in the belt section of your inventory before you add them to the kit
Save the kit (a notification will appear)
When you create a kit and save it the information for that kit goes into your server
File Manager > \oxide\data\Kits\kits_data.json
IT DOES NOT SHOW FILENAMES IN THE GUI ONLY THE KIT NAME
THANK YOU FOR ONCE AGAIN PROVING WHAT A TOXIC CONDESCENDING POS YOU ARE. YOU DIND NOT SAY WHERE THE FILE NAMES ARE STORED. BUT EVEN SO, I HAVE ALREADY CHECKED THE DATA JSON FILE AND THE FILE NAME IS NOT STORED THERE. BUT THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A NASTY POS AGAIN. PERHAPS INSTEAD OF VEING SUCH A D-BAG WHY NOT JUST STFU AND LET THE DEV REPLY.

The problem is that you dont either know what you are doing or cannot understand what i am telling you, IF you save the plugin it WILL be in the folder , IF you didnt it wont,
I will leave you to it,
i understand perfectly. yet you can't comprehend what a condescending toxic prick you've been.
