If you read all the previous posts you will see that i (for one) have complained/explained that many items that have been added to my inventory will not appear as the correct or any image in the kit menu , the only warning you get is when you are loading kits and it will show in console that such and such an item has been "removed from the library" , The only way around it is to put all items in the kit you are creating in the main inventory and taking a screenshot and use that image (uploaded to imgur) to show kit contents in gui,

A much better way to fix this would be to refresh your image library.
https://umod.org/plugins/image-library
If you use custom images anywhere please note that this may affect those plugins and cause the images to disappear temporarily.
(They generally are replaced with an "image not found" default image if I remember correctly)
All you need to do is reload those affected plugins though and you would be fine as that plugin will load the image again.
Image library is updated everytime you start your server,
I was not talking about imgur images
The problem was highlighted when the gui menu in kits plugin was made the main method of creating/selecting/editing/displaying kits,
There is no problem with the items image showing in containers/inventory/backpack but some will not be recognised by image library for the gui menu , that is why i use a screenshot of each kit contents edited/saved in imgur and used as that kits image.
it is not the same as trying to use a skin that you have obtained and getting an image that will not display,
BTW:
just restarted the server and this is part of the list i get *i dont use created/purchased skins/items from workshop
[Image Library] 54 workshop skin ID's for image batch (Kits) are invalid! They may have been removed from the workshop
IDs: 10088, 10019, 14178, 10023, 10060, 10019, 10059, 10008, 10021, 1633859273, 10010, 10065, 10014, 10019, 10080, 14181,
10078, 10051, 10067, 10066, 10066, 10019, 10059, 14181, 10021, 10005, 10008, 10034, 10019, 10068, 10112, 10019, 10088, 10059,
10023, 14178, 10112, 10019, 10059, 10088, 10088, 10088, 10066, 14178, 10023, 10060, 10065, 10079, 10066, 10059, 10059, 10064, 10019 and 10019
Image library looks for NEW images every time you start or restart your server. If it already threw an error with an image it usually continues to do so.
The command I am referring to, "Retrieve's and stores all item icon URLs (include's workshop images). Will also download every icon to file storage if the config option "Images - Only download image's when required" is set to true"
I replied to addibo. You know, the person who started this topic, the Original Poster.
This is the part where you would usually say something rude like "if you would bother to read" or something along those lines. So, practice what you preach? Or just let others discuss something without trying to make it about yourself and your problems. Please.
By the way addibo I just thought to ask something else. You do have your Steam API key in the config correct? It's always worth asking and double checking stuff like that.
Also I might state for the record that ALL of my kits have ALL of their images displaying properly even though I did at one point have issues where some would not load. Just a thought. ^_~
I too was replying to the original poster . and the discussion was already in progress when you arrived and is of course free to all to make suggestions and help , and if you can find a post where i have said "if you bother to read" i would like a link to it as a matter of interest,
A further matter of interest is where in the configuration for image library would i (or anyone) find your quoted option
"Images - Only download image's when required" is set to true"
{
"Avatars - Store player avatars": true,
"Steam API key (get one here https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey)": "*****************************",
"URL to web folder containing all item icons": "https://www.rustedit.io/images/imagelibrary/",
"Progress - Show download progress in console": true,
"Progress - Time between update notifications": 20,
"User Images - Manually define images to be loaded": {},
"Version": {
"Major": 2,
"Minor": 0,
"Patch": 58
}
}
I am not going to take this topic any further off subject than it already is.
To answer the only question that needs answered in that response, here we go.
The quote I grabbed is from the description of the command I am offering as a potential solution.
"Images - Only download image's when required" is set to true"
It could be updated but the text IS in the config it has just been worded differently and made to be a list now instead of just a true or false.
"User Images - Manually define images to be loaded": {},
So I can't tell you where you would find it, but that's where I would find it.
