since the newest updates kits the new claimed kits no longer replace what the user is wearing. It will just go to the inventory.

I can not remember it doing so , it usually tells you that "you do not have enough space to redeem the kit" so you put everything in your backpack (if used) and then redeem it, Before that message was implemented you would find all the redeemed kit spawning on the ground around you. I have a warning on my server (in welcome messages) not to redeem a kit with a full inventory.
