When clicking on the magnifying glass, the description only fits ~10 words. My previous descriptions were a bit longer at around 30-35 words. It would be great to have a couple of lines to explain the kit.
Description is cut off, only one line
You dont need descriptions anymore because you can now view directly what is in the kit.
However I do feel there could be easily 16 kits per page instead of the current 8, the image is way too big and you have to go through too many pages to view all kits

YOU apparently don't need descriptions, but I do. My kits need further explanation because they are conditional.
Secondly, it goes beyond whether anyone needs a description. The description is there and descriptions are always multiple lines, not a single line. The description is now just a title and that is too short to be a description.

I agree, the kits have always had a description since shortly after being released. A lot of my kits are also conditional . I dont want 16 kits on each page its just fine with 8, anyone with a smaller screen can read the text and see the item graphics for each kit.
what do you mean with conditional?
Goldiewhat do you mean with conditional?
Let's say that a player may have to do something to get the kit. That may be to purchase it in a store or earn the top spot on a leaderboard. This is a condition of getting the kit. The description needs to explain that so the player knows how to get it.
Note that what I've just mentioned is dependent on kits working the way it used to which is to show kits in the Ui that aren't hidden even if players do not have permissions.
This way they can view available kits in the UI, see the conditions, and then fulfill those conditions to get the kit.
Hope that makes sense.

Mine are based on time on the server which gives them player ranks which gives them the permission which enables them to redeem the kits. The description shows what time they need to redeem the kits. put as simply as possible.
Ah yeah, i only used kit description to tell what is inside it but i guess that could be a reason.
I personally think the whole new UI can be made bettter. It's too small and the images are too big compared to the text. Could easily fit 16 kits on one page if images are a little smaller

and if the images were smaller the text would be smaller and harder to read ! and with the images the way they are you can see what is inside the kit without telling people in text what is in them (?) which is the whole purpose of having a gui with discernable images. otherwise you might as well have a list with no images
I think this approach looks slick and graphical, but I did like having the description upfront on the top UI page.
Drilling down is great to show contents and more details and that's a wonderful addition, but the icon alone won't explain the nature of the kit. This means players will have to click on every single magnifying glass to understand if they wanted to click on it, to begin with.
I should say too, I'm speaking as if the new Rust Kits allowed showing kits in the UI that were unhidden regardless of permission. It doesn't do this like the old one. I liked that the old one allowed for browsing of kits you both had and didn't have.
new version is still 1 line it seems

I use this method to show what is in the kit because if you magnify the kits you get the "no icon" problem,
With some permissions you get this

Still have the text editing problem with the gui but at least there are ways around it.
thats pretty smart
although it would be nice if the whole kit menu was a little bigger so more than 8 kits fit per page

Then you would lose detail on images and print would be harder to read ! You first posted that you would like the boxs to be from 8-10 on the page and were reminded that they were already set at eight, now you want from 12-16 which would make the images too hard to recognise.
How many NON Npc kits do you have ? (As you would not want those to be showing to players)
