using the free version.as soon as i spawn a base, it disappears on me.i assume i need to set a time somewhere but not sure where to do it.once i figure out free then i will get purchased so i know what im doing.thanks all in advance.
Base disappears
well i deleted a file and it seems to work now.a step closer than i have been and the base now stays.think i solved my issue for now :D it was in the base loot folder.though i have none for the current base though it has loot in it.
yea the plugin will delete the base if it has no loot. if your copypaste files have the loot in them and you use Empty All Containers then it will despawn the base. if you want to use the copypaste file loot then you should use the Skip Treasure Loot And Use Loot In Base Only option
thank you.i somehow got everything working though i have not worked on loot yet but was able to get it to spawn 2 bases and auto spawn 20 at a time.slowly getting the hang of it.
good, glad to hear that. you should use the loot tables when you have the time to configure them. some servers use static loot in their copypaste files, but I generally think it's a bad idea for a few reasons
1. it's predictable and predictability can get boring for players
2. it promotes instant gratification
3. once players memorize the bases they will skip any base that doesn't fit their loot requirements
base loot tables exist for two reasons:
1. so you have loot tables specific to profiles with the same name
2. so that you can spawn a few select items with that base each time it spawns with Always Spawn Base Loot Table enabled in its profile. such as a random amount of boom, which will help players recoup some losses or potentially profit big.
difficulty loot tables exist for two reasons:
1. so you have loot tables specific to all profiles within the same difficulty
2. to use as your primary loot table where it contains the most items that can be randomly pulled and spawned
that makes a lot of sense.and thats why it takes a while to configure.its for each base especially when adding more bases.they need to be configured as well.a lot of work but well worth it.kudos to you for creating it.that is amazing to me.thank you.will be purchasing soon once our server is up and running :D
take the easy route and only configure a few items for your base loot tables, then you won't need to do so much work. difficulty loot tables is what takes the most time, but you won't need to keep creating those after you've finished them the first time
there are profiles, Easy Bases, Medium Bases, Hard Bases, Expert Bases and Nightmare Bases where you can put all of your bases into these profiles and that's a lot more easy to manage than it is having one profile per base.
the purchased version with all the difficulties, is that more of a "plug n play" type?not exactly sure how all would work.i assume a little bit of editing to my liking for loot would have to be done.
it's not plug and play. in fact it's a bit harder because you have more to do. I have packages available that come with a preconfigured config file, profiles, bases, and loot tables that is sold separately and helps with this. you would still need to look over the config, profiles and loot tables and change to meet your servers needs. it's not possible to provide a one-size-fits-all when every server is different. it's much easier to do that than it is to start from scratch and comes with quite a few bases.
the free version is a few versions behind in terms of features that are available in both plugins. the paid version has many more options for npcs, buyable events, 5 difficulties, player lockouts (for public raids), buyable cooldowns (for private raids), more options in the ranked ladder, and other improvements for existing features
paid definitely sounds like its more than worth it.with the extra features that come with it.esepcially being able to make the raid private and player lockouts.extra work isnt too bad.once its done its just maintaining everything.from what i seen.it doesnt need much to keep it running.im excited about it.just need to get the server going asap :)
ya it's easy to maintain once you've got it all setup. I never require a config wipe so thats a bonus. I sometimes reset/rename/delete an option here or there though
not too bad then.will make it easier to take care of the mods and not have to do a lot of "coding" for everything.i love the idea and concept
yep, having to reconfigure would be very annoying :<
