any one have advice on how to stop bases spawning half under ground?

copy bases at ground level and don't do it while flying
Fortify seems to do a really good job of making the design easily useable as well. I had some issues with bases spawning in the air but isolated it to 3 speciific base designs that I expect have something weird in their construction. The others all seem to spawn correctly.
