Is there a way to have a specific kit given to user when entering portal destination and a default kit on exiting?

You can have somebody make you a custom plugin which does that. Portals offers other plugins the possibility to do something when a portal is used.
Alternatively, Zone Manager could provide what you need by setting up the zones at your portal location.
