Installed it, permission was set, tried to take a horse and a minicopter with a hammer hit. No effect.
Can't pick up vehicles
Somethimes hook on hammer hit not calling (same as hits or projectiles). you can ask facepunch why, because i have no idea
I'm having the same issue; More specifically:
Plugin shows installed. Give both permissions (give and pickup). No config file generates (not that this is a problem, just an observation). Restart server just to make sure. Plugin loads fine. Minicopters, Scrap Heli's, etc only repair when hit with a hammer. I don't get a message when I jump in the vehicle that I now own it and after hitting it with a hammer, it does not pickup. I did noticed however that the give command in chat works fine and somehow I can place and pickup those minicopter entitites. Any ideas?

Update: I installed a fresh version of Rust and Oxide in a new folder. Set up a brand new server. Installed one mod: Portable Vehicles. Set permissions and....still can't pick up vehicles

I changed some stuff in the plugin to kind of work around the whole ownership thing and that seemed to fix it for me. If you need help doing the same, let me know.

Did the newest version make it work for you?
I updated and other than the chat commands, the plug-in doesn't do anything. It's like the game ignores the hammer hitting having anything to do with this plug-in.

Why doesnt this work ?
Problem found.
Go into mod config. Remove the vehicles from the blacklist. And i set this pickupAnyVehicles = true, to false. And after that i can pickup the vehicles with hammer with 5 hits.

Is there a reason the vehicles need to be fully repaired before picking up? also any way to change the tool required to use to pickup the vehicles?
