I don't believe their site has an API for accessing and checking plugins, and plugins wouldn't have the information needed to check there easily without additons.

The way we did it on our old site (which was also XenForo) was it relied on IDs from each page. The only way it could check for those is if they had that ID as there wasn't a way to search by name and such. CC does have a checker, but I'm pretty sure it relies on something like that as well.
