Greetings all,
Was thinking this could be an immersive method of letting a server's population know that a banned player's base is being destroyed.
Moderator/Admin targets banned player's structure and activates Smite. This automates the destruction process while leaving maximum amount of loot behind.
For 2-3 minutes, an increasingly larger and darker cloud gathers over targeted structure. Rumblings of thunder slowly increase.
Large thunderclap signals a series of lightning strikes that destroys base.
Loot remains for the gathered players to share or fight over.
Practical pros -
Automates the process for the Admin.
Gives personal audio/visual confirmation/gratification of the demi-god status of admin.
Shows the general populace the perils of breaking the rules in a public and unequivocal manner.
Shows the benevolence of allowing the loot to remain.
-
Most Admins put forth quite abit of effort and time. They deserve a little fun... and a little fear-induced respect. :)
