Hey there.
I had an idea recently for a server I wanted to create. I tried looking to see if there was a plugin that came
close to what I wanted, and the closest I got was Team Battlefield by k1lly0u. It was close but there where a few
issues I found reading it that made it seem to not be exactly what I was looking for.
The idea I had would to have a map split in half, and have the north side versus the south side.
Players pick their team when they first join in, which can be represented by either a hoodie with blue (North) or red (South) colours on them
which the player is forced to wear and can't remove. Or maybe their names are just their team colour to allow for players to use rad suits and such. Either way there would have to be some way to be able to instantly tell whether or not a player was on your team.
Players work together with their team to advance, build towns, strongholds and such to wage war other the other team to
steal loot from them. Players cannot kill or raid other players who are on the same team. Soul focus is on attacking and raiding the other team. Perhaps theres a kill based point system. Maybe theres a loot based system that whichever team has the most GP stored up is the "winner."
I feel like a server like this has a ton of potential not only for PVP but great social interactions as well. I'm hoping either there's a plugin or maybe a set of plugins that I haven't found yet that could help me make this idea a reality, or perhaps someone with experience would be willing to create one
for me. IF someone would like to work with me on this and develop a plugin or such I would be open to paying them for their time/knowledge :)
In summary the ideal plugin(s) would have the following:
- UI for selecting a team.
- Spawn system so new players would spawn in team controlled areas away from danger. Which would also be used in the event of a player losing their beds/bags so they don't then spawn in enemy controlled areas.
- A way for players to be identified instantly on which team they belong to. As mentioned before Id like a way for players to be able to identified from a distance, so perhaps each team gets their own radsuit as well? Red team gets normal suit while Blue gets the scientist suit? Something along those lines so players can still use other clothing and then also put on a radsuit to do monuments and such.
- Map that shows which team has control over what grids. For example maybe the center of each grid maybe has a small zone with a capture area that reaches high into the sky (to prevent players from just building a bunker to not allow captures) that players must spend time sitting in order capture it for their team (think domination flag system from COD)
- UI for kills per team, how many grids a team controls, most captures/kills per team.
