Hey is there a way to edit this plugin (or perhaps another one is already available) so that you are automatically given different rewards after XX amount of play time? 

You could use PlayerRankings @Ankawi and use those ranks to give permissions for plugins or (created) kits , it also uses PlayTime Tracker
