Paratroopers not shootingSolved
Hello, everyone!

I downloaded this mod today and I'm facing this issue: the paratrooper are not shooting.

To be precise, some of them shoot from far, but the majority only shoot after they run towards you and get REALLY close, like less than 1 meter away. And I can see that their aggro from far is working... when they see you from far away, they look at you, aim at you, but dont shoot at all or just run in your direction and then shoot. 

This always happens if the paratrooper has a shotgun kit and occasionally when its some other type of weapon.

Ps: I didnt change enything related to aggro, just added kits, removed bradley, changed the paratroppers names and reduced their damage and accuracy.

I'd be glad if someone could help me!
I noticed this too, I gave my troopers a mix of shotguns, lr300's and mp5's and only the ones with the lr's shot at me but only a few times then stopped and no others aggro'd me.

Ikr. I took out the ones with the shotguns and I think it got a little better, maybe, but it doesn't seem fixed yet

yep they dont work reliably with shotguns either.......
Behaving more like "jumk_pile scientists"  backing off.....
Downloaded the most recent update 2.3.0 and still the npc's dont shoot me. The bradley will but not the npc's.
Something odd is going on.....
they keep kneeling and have the guns on thier backs....

Thought it might be due to the weapon not in the first slot, but it is not.....
Also they won't use hand granades, they just run about with them in thier hand... "zombiehorde" works fine on this, so clearly it is the plugin.

k ... might have got to the bottom of it.....

Guns have to be in slot 0... sometimes "kits" does not put them in slot 0 reliably...
also items seem to go in backwards & sometimes randomly.... when building kits... if you moved the items about

Ok, I understand what you mean but did it work after you made sure the weapon is in slot 0 and also can you repost the reworked kits config which shows how it looks to get it working.

Yep.....after extensive testing... it worked.. 
but it was a real pain..... and granades don't work in any slot....
they are all shooting now

needs some sort of fix for beancans & other hand held explosives..., should be possible becasue "zombie horde" works fine

The Paratroopers only shoot sometimes (1 or 2 out of 3 troopers) even after last update, and not every paratrooper is decked out in the configured kit (I have 1 kit configured) 2 out 3 troopers will be wearing the items.. Love the idea of this mod, at moment its more like a free loot mod so i have disabled on my server.

Same here, I have had to unload it until the shooting issue can be addressed. Has to be since the intro of the aggro ranges etc as it was fine before that.

Is there any news from fastburn when the mod is going to be fixed, or if its even being looked at ? really enjoyed this mod before the recent FP changes broke it.
moonman52 - Have you heard anything? still broken on my servers, one was a complete rebuild from scratch :(
Hello, which is slot zero? the first from the left? or like the second from the right in the picture?
Still in the works. The Recent FP updates have not been playing nice.
Yeah tried update from 9 days ago, still broken 1 or 2 in group of 8 fire. Some now parachute inside of rocks. Great idea mate and look forward to when you get it working.
