what exactly does this plugin do?

I was thinking the same thing....

It basically checks the map on a regular basis to see if any players are without a team. If it spots someone without a team, it creates one for them and adds them to it. So essentially everyone on the map ends up having a team, even if it's just a team of one

This mod has no use for the regular server but is more relevant for servers with very specific requirements where everyone needs to be in a team

Yeah, I might find this useful for some specific scenarios. :)
