Broken or what?

Never tested this, only used to see lift spawned and thought it's working but nah.
Players reported to me recently that if you put car on the lift you can't modify it.

Down below attach the image of the problem when went to see what's going on... Used to reload the plugin but still same error... "Vehicle on the lift is not in editable state" Vehicle on the lift is not in editable state

Questions:

  • Do you know how many car lifts this impacted? Was it at certain monuments only?
  • Could you try spawning a car lift in with spawn modularcarlift.static and see if you can reproduce the issue with that lift?
  • Could you try with a player deployed car lift?
  • Can you try reproducing with different length of cars and with different modules on them?
  • Did the car snap/float onto the lift automatically like normal?
  • Can you get a screenshot of the car on the lift without the inventory overlay? Based on the vanilla code, this is mostly likely some kind of distance issue.

Also forgot to mention... for some reason player's car was dragged from an invisible power to this monument lift. What do I mean? When they exit the car it auto goes with side slide movement even sometimes fully through rocks/trees until reach this lift. Or just crash when hitting something and stop but still glitching and trying to slide to the final destination - the monument lift. Tested next to car lift but no too close (out of lift range) and if player exit the vehicle, car do slide movement to the lift and stays like ready to be modifi and the car was dragged to it every time. Used to place with Ubertool just normal player placed to lift and wire with test gen then every time worked to modify while on the monument lift nope... But car was still dragged to this monument lift, so just deleted the car and modified new one for the player on the hand placed lift and unloaded monument lifts plugin. That's all I know about the issue

That's a very important detail. There was an issue with a previous version of this plugin where it could spawn more than one lift in the same spot after restarts, since the previous lift would not be removed in some cases. When at least two lifts are in the same spot, one would hold a continuous magnet lock on the vehicle, pulling it from across the map when not occupied. This is very likely the cause of the issue where the car cannot be edited, since only one of the lifts is eligible to edit the car. You should be able to ent kill the extra lifts. If you delete too many, simply reload the plugin to bring it back.

Yes and I tried to remove them all when unloaded the plugin but after deleting one or two lifts last one stays in godmode, not removable...

Sounds like at least one lift is glitched since you can't remove it. Any time you load the plugin, there will be effectively two lifts. Issue probably won't go away until next wipe.

Does the glitched lift work while the plugin is unloaded? If so, you could remove that lift location from the config for now.

Not sure why it would get glitched in the first place. Similar issues can happen with copy paste where an entity can be improperly spawned and be visible but unable to remove.
