This is a client-side limitation and it wasn't always like that, the client-side widget previously had a different scrolling component that was more consistent with other games.

It's a client-side limitation, not really fixable on our end aside from splitting up chat messages a lot and likely losing some inbetween normal chat; it's a game client issue. You can try to avoid it by sending less text and/or formatting.
