Everything in the plugin is working as expected, but players are unable to hack the crate. It remains locked even if all the NPC are killed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but same result with latest file/update. Please advise.
Not unlocking
It might help if you post your config .
@goostieoa have you by chance tried testing this yourself? Check and see if you are having the same problem as me. I think some of the NPC are spawning who knows where. But count and see if the correct amount of NPC are spawning with each crate. On my server suddenly after installing the newest update only a partial amount of the NPC spawn leading me to believe that the others are somewhere else on the map. I don't have time to go around trying to find them but this seems to be the issue we are having at least. I have removed the plugin for now and just have my config in case I decide to come back and try this again or in case there is a fix in the near future.
i have the same problem removed it for now
crate unlocks fine on my server
1 - kill all npcs - 2 - timer starts ticking down - 3 - Wait

I think I can speak for those of us here having issues. We know how the plugin works. I've had it for several months and it has been a great plugin. Unfortunately it is NOT working for some of us recently.
If you read my response, and I have a support thread started for myself as well, I don't know where all of the NPCs are and the hack does not start when I kill all of the NPC that are near the crate. I have it set so that there are 10 or more NPC for each crate. If only 7 spawn with the crate do you have any advice on how to kill 10 NPC when I can only find 7? I am the owner, I am teleporting to the event as soon as it opens. The NPC aren't wandering off. THEY ARE NOT ALL SPAWNING WITH THE CRATE.
If not, then it's great that it is working on your server but is not working for some of us. Thank you for the basics but I'm pretty sure most people would know at least that much. It's all in the description of the plugin.
The plugin will only spawn the amount that a valid spawn point is found for, this could mean only 7 out the 10 spawn, this does not effect the event in any way, i have just had a conversation with another server owner of a conflict with a plugin that stops the crate being hackable, the problem is that developer has failed to contact me to let me know the issue, so until that happens it is out of my hands.

How does it not affect the plugin in any way? The crate isn't unlocking when we kill the NPC's that do spawn. It wouldn't affect the plugin at all if it still began the unlock and gave the cleared message when the NPC are cleared and it is not doing that now. I was testing it myself and able to teleport to the crate immediately so I know that none of them are leaving the area and being missed. This definitely affects the plugin and makes it so that the crate cannot be unlocked.
Why doesn't it pick a valid spawn point that will allow all of the NPC to spawn with it?
What plugin is there a conflict with otherwise?
Could you add this so it works with zonemanager or add a building restrictor for the event? The crate can just be built around and protected easily. Thanks!
@jbird The plugin in question is RustEditNpcs, the plugin deletes any npcs that are in a close radius to each other, when the npcs are spawned they find a valid point on the nav mesh this sometimes means they could be next to each for a valid point, now the problem is his plugin deletes ones that spawn next to each other, and becuase he never waits for Next Frame it will never call OnEntityKill hook to let my plugin know if one was killed and stop the correct amount spawning, in turn this prevents the event from finishing and the crate being hackable. i have since messaged the dev about the issue but have had no reply at the moment.
@Bazz3l I will reach out to the guy who writes that plugin and let him know. Jtedal uses it on his maps but KpucTaJl writes the plugins usually. Thank you for the information.
I thought you were trying to say that the event should still be able to be completed and I'm like yeah.. no ^_^ but I'll help see if we can get this resolved soon. He is very responsive (unlike Jtedal haha).
Thanks again.

And just like that KpucTaJl has updated the plugin less than 24 hours later. Jtedal is a mapper, KpucTaJl is the plugin dev. Communication goes a long way.
I've tested the update to NpcRustEdit (1.0.4) and the event is able to be completed now.
For anyone who uses NpcRustEdit the new version is available. If you don't know where to get it just reach out to me and I can send it to you directly. If you have Discord I'm you can hit me up there.

I am going to be mobile a bit doing family stuff but I will take my laptop with me and have the file on my phone as well so I'll get it to you when I'm not busy with that stuff.
Happy holidays everyone! 🎄
