Hey!

So I might just be really stupid and broken something, but after updating the plugin on our development server it no longer starts events. 
I do /gc start and the same message pops up as if I just typed /gc. In other words it doesn't recognise the start or stop words and only ready the /gc.

How can I fix this?

You have to enter the guarded crate level/name *that you have selected in  DATA config  ( "EventName (event name)": "Low Level",)        such as /gc start Low Level
for manual events, the automatic timed events should start in the time limit you selected
