The Death Notes plugin got updated 3 days ago from v6.3.6 to v6.3.7 but I did not get a notification about it in the Dashboard. Just noticed it now thanks to the Plugin Update Notifications plugin. It also does not show at the top of the list under the Watched Plugin Updates section while it is supposed to be listed at the top because of it being recently updated.

However, I did notice that the Death Notes plugin has no maintainer, so maybe this issue is related to maintainerless but watched plugins?

As it shows in the link , it was showing in the new notifications (middle icon top right) and that is all most people need to know about updates, That is all i have to say about it , spoonfeeding is not a requirement as far as i know,

Hi Wulf, yes, the issue still exists, the plugin is still not shown at the top of the list, but at the bottom/last page. Also, it has only a clock icon and no time next to it, unlike the other plugins that have the time next to the icon such as "x days/years ago".

Have you expected to see a certain notification today since my post? What shows in the Plugins list page would be a somewhat different topic.

No, did not expect one since your post today, because I figure the plugin would need yet another update for it to trigger a new notification.

What I was expecting, however, was that the plugin would be shown at the top on the Watched Plugin Updates page now since you said there were some tweaks made.
