Can't share codelocks if the other one build the boxNot An Issue
If a friend builds a box, hatch... and I put a codelock on it, he can't open it.
The same happens the other way round.
Can you please change this?
Thank you.
This plugin doesn't do anything with that, it's simply an API for other plugins to see if players are friends.
Ok. I thought so 'cause I have no idea which plugin I have does that. :D
Thanx anyway.

I just realized that is not true.
If you look in the config there are two lines that say:
"ShareAutoTurrets": true,
"ShareCodeLocks": true

Those are not settings from this plugin; sounds like you are confusing this plugin with another.

A friend tested the plugin and made me attentive on those two lines. He seems to have them too in his config. It's not just me.
It really is the Friends.json in the config-folder.
But I'm gonna try something. I will deinstall it completely and load it again from the plugin page to see if the config changed.
My whole config-file looks like this now:
{
"CacheTime": 0,
"MaxFriends": 30,
"ShareAutoTurrets": true,
"ShareCodeLocks": true
}

I did like I said and exactly the same config was created. Except false instead of true.
That friend I mentioned is a plugin developer and he mentioned that those options of sharing have never been documentated but are in the plugin.
Yes, they do. :) Try it for yourself!
Can we add the plugin developer of Friends API to this talk to see what he has to say?

The Friends plugin is a different plugin, this is the Friends API plugin. I am the developer of this plugin.
I downloaded and installed exactly this plugin again today and it brings out the config I mentioned.
Please try it for yourself and you will see.
I don't know what else I should say.
When I deinstalled the plugin all shares of codelocks and turrets were gone. My mate got shot by turrets I built.
Then we became friends again and voilà the turrets stopped firing.
Yup, you're right, I appologize for the confusion there. Those things are not supposed to be in this plugin though, pretty sure I removed those locally in a newer version, so completely forgot they were in there. In general though, those settings are not the purpose of this plugin, it is only intended for being an API to manage friends, nothing more; so those other options will not be available going forward.

The current version on the site is still from the original author, future versions will be what the versions is that I have locally. There were originally two different plugins from what I recall,
Well. Too bad you don't want to keep up with these options.
I think it's great to have it shared codelocks and turrets.
Do you know any other plugins that do the same?
There are plugins listed on the plugin's page under "Used By" which can provide those benfits. This plugin was never intended to really be more than an API for other plugins to utilize, keeping those features specifically for one game aren't really within its scope.
Ok, there's nothing similar in that list.
But I will keep looking for that.
Or maybe keep the old plugin file as long as it works for me. ;)
Thank you anyway.
If there isn't one with similar functionality, I'll split that into a plugin for that that makes use of the Friends API.
What do you mean?
You will create an extra plugin with the functionality of Friends API + the sharing?
