It's not triggering the event, no cooldown, no notice of catching or failing to catch anything.

Please make sure you are fully updated with Oxide, as it sounds like you are on one of the earlier builds, not the one with projectile fixes.

Double checked again, with default config, both wooden and stone spears work fine for me while "jabbing" the ground for spear fishing in water.

And remember, you do have to Hit the ground while standing in water to trigger the fishing.
