When using /waterpump.craft and once you place it 90% of time it will only pump salt water... when used in ur base onland...

yea i think that happens when you don't have it connected to power not sure why it does it, honestly theres a lot thats a mystery with that item since technically im making an item that should only be placed in low water able to be placed in the middle of dry land and in deep water so somethings bound to mess up with it a little bit

like in general the "advanced water pump" should't really be an item cause of how it operates and iv constantly been debating removing it from the list of items just because i did make a craftable water well that actually serves the purpose of an inland/deep sea waterpump.
