I thought it allowed for emoticons in chat when you typed ":P" for example but it just posts a message and replaces ":P" with a different line of text in the color grey?

Its just like using "/me" on some other games to express yourself - all it is - at the time this was made I couldnt really do pictorial emote :) maybe in the future ;)
