this has been asked frequently in and out of umod, would be very handy feature if players can run a command to turn there base into a pvp zone 

I understand your desire for this ability, but it is not server side event driven, which is what DPVP was designed for.. It would be much better served with a stand alone plug-in to perform this type of feature. Maybe another programmer will pick up on the idea and roll with it. What would be the size of the zone? All bases are of varying sizes and this would probably be the largest hurdle. What would be the trigger to disable the pvp zone? Destruction of a TC? What if there are multiple TC's? It is way more complicated to automate something and cover all the possiblities.
