I deployed a drone in front of my own turret and the turret shot at my body while flying away. Lost all inventory and could not retrieve. 

Also wondering if drones left out in the wild decay or not?

yeah same problem, the dummy version of you isn't auth'd on your tc/turrets so they think it's a hostile player unfortunately.  I've been warning my players to make sure they don't deploy in view of turrets
