Only allow damage from teams or bots?
Hi Guys,

I would like to find a way to cancel damage given by players who arent team mates, does anyone know how best to do this? The player needs to still take damage from bots if possible.

NPC are different than players in the config. Did you want other players to harm them? If so you might want TruePVE from umod or the one I use from code fling NextGenPVE. That allows tuning of that aspect of the game.
Okay I'll look into both of those. My ideal senario is that people can only damage bots and their team mates. My thinking is they wouldnt be able to kill randoms but they could kill their team mate so they could still organise death matches amongst themselves or kill their freinds for fun. I have bot spawn on my server so I'd still want players to be able to damage them and be damaged by them. I'll see if I can find the config that will do that with either of these. Thanks mate!
I normally use zone manager to set up death match areas. There are plugins to run them too. Duelist is a good start to try it out. Balancing PVE/PVP can be hard. Best to limit it to specific areas or there can be drama in a clan insider ganking them all. Damage Control is a good base for damage, but is not fine grained like those others to allow specific tuning of target to vicitim. Damage control is type to victim only.
