Possible to use paper as currency for vendors?

So, I changed over my currency from Scrap to paper in hopes of theoretically attempting to change thepaper to a custom image referencing actual money. Is this possible?
I mean, wouldn't it be as easy to create the custom image ,insert into game change the ItemID to -1779183908 (Paper) and you would have this set for currency? Question is, how what would I change the image to/as and how would it be put into the game

the vending Machines do not use Custom Skins, you can use the paper item but it will appear as just paper.

Also if you do use paper, you will need to somehow spawn that in your loot tables as this isn't in the game anymore by default.

Fast, Thansk so much for the reply. So then, it isn't as easy as changing the item ID. I mean, is there a way to make it an asset and insert it in the game? I  have seen this very recently and wondered how they did it. It was "paper" as in the loot item but converted to make it look like cash

Changing the items is easy using the Item ID, just nothing skinned is all. Making Paper look like cash is easy, it just doesnt stay like looking cash in the Vending machine and just shows as Paper
