Did you add color tags somewhere? I'd need more details about your setup and config.

Hi Wulf! I have not added color tags anywhere, I just installed both plugins and used the folowing settings;

"Force default server language": false,
"Log translated chat messages": false,
"Show original and translation": true,
"Translate message for sender": true

I have BetterChat and ColouredChat installed, though ColouredChat is se to only enable usename colors to be changed.. Oh that must be it, as I noticed in the screenshot that my name is green (when it's normally a gradient). Must be conflicting with ColouredChat.

It seems like it was trying to output the translation the first couple times, though nothing on the 3rd try (when typing in Spanish).

Merged post

I've unloaded ColouredChat, reloaded Translate API and Chat Translator though nothing is actually translating (see my screenshot in my first post. You will see that it tried to translate the first couple attempts, though noting after). Very confised why I cant seem to get this to work.

What do you have your language set on your client or with /lang?

Client Language is set to English. I have just tried /lang EN and reloaded the plugins with no luck.

I must be missing something here.

Thank you!!

Which service are you using for Translation API?

I'm using the Default "Google" with no API key.

{
"API key (if required)": "",
"Translation service": "google"
}

It's possible that something changed with Google's free method. Have you tried any of the others?

I have not tried any other Translation Services, as I's ideally like this to work withough the need to pay for a service. I have Spanish people on my Server who type in chat occasionally and would be nice if the Free service worked. Strange that it tried to work the first couple attempts, though cant get anything to attempt to translate now.

The use of the free Google service is more of a hacky workaround as it's not really intended for use outside of its site, whereas the rest actually use proper APIs. If other services work fine, then that would mean there's an issue with the Google implementation or site.
