I have given the default group permission to use the plugin, and after testing it, the lvl 3 bench notification keeps disappearing and popping up unless I am in vanilla range of the workbench. It wont let me craft at all unless I am right next to it.

In the past when this would happen i'd just lower the check interval, but that doesnt seem to work anymore.
I've look into it and it looks like a least one plugins messes with triggers which would cause you to be removed from the custom trigger needed for this plugin to work. I think I have resolved the issue in 1.2.1. Can you please test it out and let me know.

Are you running any workbench upgrade / downgrade plugins?
I do not use any workbench upgrade or downgrade plugins, but I run a large number of plugins.
I just installed the mod again, and now everything seems to work. The only thing that has changed are extra plugins that are installed.
If it would happen again I will test without any other plugins loaded and report back to you. For now everything is fine.

I also ran into this issue with 1.2.2
For me, it was DynamicCupShare. I unloaded that plugin and reloaded BuildingWorkbench and it's not long flashing anymore.
I don't use DynamicCupShare
I'm currenlty having flickering isses myself when your not close to the workbench, I have updated the plugin still having issues. yes i have TC down and its build inside the base
