This happens when uploading sometimes, as some tools such as FileZilla by default will mess with the encoding of the file. Use Binary mode to avoid this.
Still doesn't work. I have used gameserverkings file manager and filezilla (both on binary and ASCII), nothing works.
Something on your end would be modifying it, the file compiles fine on our site and locally.
It works on my local server too. Any other ideas on how to transfer the file to the server?
If one client isn't working, I'd suggest trying a different one. The encoding needs to remain the same, not changed by any process.
