Developers don't necessarily know something isn't working unless they are told.

yeah, but its anoying, if player test all mods and say then the dev, its working or not an if a plugin is longer not working like this https://umod.org/plugins/better-charcoal, or plugins with no owner, why u dont delete it ?

You need to give the author/maintainer a little bit of time to fix the issue since they don't get paid to maintain the plugins on the site and the uMod admins are not here to enforce deadlines on people working in their spare time. As for unmaintained or broken plugins, it is possible that another developer decides to take over the plugin and show it some love. Deleting these from the site would mean a lot of nice plugins would be lost.

Curation is gatekeeping. "does not gatekeep" and "heavily curated." Pick one. You can't have both.

... the plugin is MANY YEARS not working ! How much Time a DEV need for a small PlugIN like this  ? 20 Years ? In this Time we have RUST V 5 :D and nobody need this PlugIN longer ! ;) if a DEV doesnt reapai a PlugIN shortly, it looks like, that the DEV has no more Interessting in that Game or no Time for repair, so u can delete it ;) All good Forum make this to hold clean a Forum :)

Not sure if you know this but the current maintainer is not the original author of the plugin. The current maintainer has been generous enough to take over the plugin and is likely working on a fix or rewrite.

2 years broken until NOW no rewrite and no fix ... so what u want to tell me ?

Even the current supervisor has not been able to fix or rewrite it for 2 years, because he
 probably has nothing to do with rust or prefers to devote himself to other plugins. 
and besides that, DANA is the original DEV of this mod ...;) 
and this plugin is just one example of many who are here on the site without a 
supervisor or owner and have not worked for years ...

He's not the original author, download it and look at the author name...

You can either wait for a fix or find an alternative. Also that thread is marked as solved so the issue was likely fixed back then.

My apologies for the long period of inactivity on this plugin. As previously noted, maintaining plugins is often done on a volunteer basis and in one's spare time.

I have just released a refactor of the plugin, and it should now be functioning as intended. If you come across any issues, kindly let me know, particularly regarding compatibility issues with other furnace plugins.
