False positives when players are sniping scientists from rowboat

If that were correct, physics.step would be in the game menu instead of a console command almost nobody knows about. Exploiting the game for an advantage of being able to jump an inch higher is unfortunate, but sadly behaviour we have come to expect these days. Personally, I blame parents that refused to smack the bottom of their misbehaving children.

Adjusting resolution wasn't in the game menu until 2 months ago. So because it's not in the game menu it's cheating to adjust resolution with Rust running. No? Why does physics steps need to be in the game menu then? You guys arguing against a console command have HUGE gaps in your logical reasoning on why you have a problem with it. This is like saying people that turned graphics down in QUAKE were cheating. In a game with tens of thousands of players using ACTUAL aimbots and ESP cheats you want to rail on a guy that adjusted a physics setting DELIBERATLY made configurable by the game creators. As a server owner with a server ranked on the second page of Rust-Servers and in the top 400 on BM, you guys are clowns for making physics steps of 60 vs 32 out to be this big of a deal, it's pathetic.

By your standards the vast majority of counter-strike players are cheaters then because they've configured parts of their game through a console or .cfg files instead of a game menu.

a console command almost nobody knows about

There's a reddit thread or comment every other day that mentions it in one form or another.

Exploiting the game

I don't think you get to call it an exploit after the developers of the game limited the allowable range so that it... couldn't be exploited.

advantage of being able to jump an inch higher

I've already talked about how it's actually a disadvantage when it comes to PvP since you can't shoot while in the air.

Stretched resolutions so the player models are fat and easy to aim at is an example of something that gives a tangible advantage, is widely used and isn't considered cheating.

Not sure what your propensity to use violence on kids has to do with anything but ok.

Enjoy the ban.

What a solid, irrefutable argument there, how can I ever come back from this?
