At this point I'm really considering removing the plugin as these hook times are very abnormal.
Any way to get this fixed soon?

And just to note, this is only an hour after wipe, after around 20 hours the plugin hook time is well over 20 minutes.

I think after last update is more than okay.
Try to update the plugin.
