Missing oxide foldersNot An Issue
How do you add plugins to 7dtd? I've installed it but there are no oxide/config folders?
Those folders are only created when the server has started once successfully with Oxide. If those folders are not created, Oxide is not installed. Make sure you are not updating your server with Steam each time you start it.

I have tje same "error"

my server is started up, i disable update on start, try to restart it manually but there is no oxide folder like in rust.

Did you install Oxide while the server was shutdown? The folder would be in the main install location when the server starts with Oxide.

Yes while the server was shutdown with lgsm and later again manually

"/home/sdtdserver/oxide" or "/home/sdtdserver/serverfiles/oxide" like in rust?

edit: try it again on fresh installs, one while server is running, the other one while shutdown. both did not create the oxide folder and the rcon command "o.version" is not known.

The structure of the Oxide zip would match that of your server install. If it is installed per the structure and server doesn't run a steam check on start, then Oxide would start with it.

i really think i start the server without a steamcheck, "Update on start" is off and in the start params i dont have anythink with a steamcheck

./7DaysToDieServer.x86_64 -quit -batchmode -nographics -dedicated -configfile=/home/sdtdserver/serverfiles/sdtdserver.xml
or how to start without a steamcheck? the folder-structure still match with the zip.

edit: i try it again on the exact same way with rust, and there the folder will be created.

Could you show me a screenshot of your folders?

can't insert a image with this size directly

folder structure
So the files are in the right place, so you would have to be having something run a Steam update on start for Oxide not to start with it. The modified files would be replaced when running a Steam update, causing Oxide to not load.

i disable update on start, i try to start the server in debug mode and there is no steam/game update and steamcmd didn't validate the files.

that are my start params:

./7DaysToDieServer.x86_64 -nographics -dedicated -configfile=sdtdserver.xml

The system is a fresh distro without any private files, maybe its easier if i send you the SSH/SFTP Login in a private message? So you can take a look and can try your best? :)\

Merged post

I try it with Debian and have still the Same Problem.

That should be fine still, but I can't see why you'd be having an issue if not. I tested today with a clean install, worked like a charm and loaded Oxide just fine.

What Distro? With LGSM? Or Windows?
I mean Normally i know how to install it on oxide on rust. Tell me the way you install it and i try it in the Same way.

Edit:i install ubuntu/Debian (try it both),
Install LGSM and with LGSM the 7dtd Server and then oxide with LGSM too. It says installed and i Start the Server.

I don't know how LGSM handled it, so I would suggest trying manually to rule that out.

I've tried something for the last 2 days, in what feels like a thousand different ways. But it still doesn't work. I will try again, maybe you can look through the logs if you have time :)
