Rust in-game server browser sections

Community listing

If you want to move your server to Community tab, follow the instructions:

  • Open your oxide.config.json that is located in oxide folder
  • Find Options and set Modded value to false
  • Restart your server to apply changes

Allowed plugins

Make sure you install only allowed modifications (plugins, extensions, etc) on your server if you want it to be in Community section.

  • Modifications that change gameplay are prohibited

Modifications that can anyhow affect the gameplay by modifying gather rates, intercepting survival, changing mechanics and etc.
Example: Furnace Splitter, Quick Smelt, Gather Manager

  • Custom user interface is prohibited

Modifications that modify, display new or remove UI
Example: Info Panel

  • Admin tools are allowed

Modifications that assist you administrating the server but DO NOT alter the game-play. You can inform players, but cannot prevent them from doing something.
Example: Vanish, Skip Queue, Admin Radar

Official servers

If Facepunch would like a community server to become official, they will ask server owner. If you want your server to become official, the procedure is to never ask and wait.
