Introduction

The review system is used primarily by volunteers who dedicate their valuable time to assist the community in moderating the quality of submissions available on uMod.

Because reviewing is a volunteer process it is not assumed that a reviewer who started the review process will necessarily be the same reviewer who ends the process.

Minimum approval

Plugin submissions must receive a minimum of two (2) completely passing reviews from separate reviewers.

A passing review is considered a review where all guidelines are passing and no "must fix" issues exist.

If additional reviewers enters the process, then all reviews must pass according to that criteria. It is not enough to simply have at least two passing reviews. All reviewers who choose to review a submission must consider the submission valid.

Approval guidelines

The reviews are primarily separated by who submits them, and reviewers should generally consider the following...

  1. Reviewers may continue any other reviewers review. You should only take over somone elses review if their review is out of date and they have not updated it for several days or a week.
  2. If you have created a previous review, always continue that review. A separate review will override your previous review, even if it is a continuation of somone elses review.
  3. Don't be possessive of your reviews, you can always take them back over. Each reviewer may have one review per resource. Continuing somone elses review will make that your review.

Localization requirement

It is required to localize all strings that are player-facing, however it is only preferred that debug/console messages are localized.
