True PVE compatibility

Hey :)

Since its the first time I comment on your plugin I just have to THANK you for all the work you do for the community, and for taking your own time to do it. You developers FU**ING ROCK :)

I understand that this works with dynamic pvp.

I am using TruePVE since it does what I need in a good way :)

I also have zone manager so when I enter monuments I got this plugin to correctly show that its a pvp area :)

The only thing is that when my server changes to PVP the indicator is still at PVE :(

Is this because there is no connection between these 2 plugins? Only works with dynamic pvp?

Anything I can do to make this work with pve, something that can be done on my side that you know off?

Again THANK you for this.

Cheers

I noticed that you can change it manually with a command.
Not bad, it does the job.
Automatic is better since you may sometimes not be able to change it and it will confuse players, but at least you can do it :)

The only thing is that when my server changes to PVP the indicator is still at PVE

What did you do to change the server to PvP?

You mean the info going from PVE to PVP?
If so, then I applied the code: pvpall <true / false>
Its on the zonepvx plugin page.

The plugin does not know when your server is PvP and when it is PvE, so it cannot switch automatically...

My friend I have true pve installed. I decided that monuments are pvp, and this plugin knows that information from true pve, and changes the info to pvp.

For my server to change to pvp I had to set that on true pve. If I hadnt done that then the server did not knew it had to change.

So again, true pve knows when it will change to pvp, or when it is on pvp, since it is allowing players to do damage and stuff.

Its just that this plugin is not designed to get that specific information from true pve as it does with the monuments.

1. TruePVE has no hooks.
2. TruePVE doesn't know if your server is PvP or PvE.
3. This plugin determines whether the zone is PvP by whether it contains "pvp" in its name

Technically all servers are pvp since the game is designed that way.

That means that this plugin should recognize the game as pvp and not pve as it is doing at the moment.

If you want to play rust as pve you can use a command which i cant remember but it is something like pve true or whatever. If you dont use that command than the game is pvp.

True pve runs without that command. In fact they ask you not to use it. Which means that the game should still be recognized as pvp.

Why is it not? I believe because true pve is making that happen.

Im not a coder, but I can see the logic behind things.

Somewhere in true pve theres a coding telling the game that it should be a pve server. So if that information is coded then this plugin should be able to get it as well.

I just made a suggestion.

It works with dynamic pvp and other plugins, why not work with true pve?

And by the way of course true pve knows if the server is on pvp or pve mode otherwise it would not work.....

Even if it doesnt know, because im now seeing what you are trying to say, this plugin says that my server is pve outside monuments. Why? I never ran the comand to make this a pve server. So if true pve does not know that my server is pve or pvp and only changes damage and stuff how come this plugin knows im a pve server?

I also would like this feature if possible. True PVE has a set or rules that make the experience PVE, even though it's PVP in the server settings.

So you must set the zone pvx info to default to PVE so it's always showing PVE unless you enter PVP zones. All this works perfectly.

However, when you have scheduled events in True PVE, for example, PVP event for 4 hours. Now the rules are changed to make the whole server PVP for 4 hours, meaning no more PVE settings, anything can hurt anything.

The PVX zoneinfo still shows PVE because there is no way to automatically change the setting to default to PVP for 4 hours then back to PVE again.

"Server Default PVx (pvp or pve)": "PVE" if there was a way to toggle this via True PVE scheduled events, that would work perfectly as well.
