As the title states, leveling up fishing seems to do nothing other than increase what type of fish caught and no exp is given.

Fishing skill is limited at this time and only increases the amount of fish caught and items received when its not a fish.

As for XP received, by default settings it should give you 5xp at the same time you catch a fish. I'll look into this closely as I'm working on a big update coming up.

At +2 fish it still gives one fish, I tried turning it up in the settings to +4 and it's still always 1 fish. The xp definitely doesn't increase no matter what is caught but it does seem the rng gets better as the level goes up. Sharks are caught more frequently on lower quality bait.

It'll still say you caught 1 fish but if you check your inventory you should get more. I'll double check this. The "notes" above the health bar doesn't pick up the extra fish caught. 

As for XP I'll see what I can find in the file that might be preventing the xp from counting.
