is it possible to have the water come from the fluid switch and pump so you could controll how much the planter beds get 

I will investigate if its possible for the fluid switch to act as a water source.
You can still use the sprinklers with a complete water circuit

Not at the moment. The changes required to support the fluid switch would be extensive and beyond the scope of the plugin. maybe in a separate plugin.
