is it possible to add an option so that NPCs can attack drones?

it turns out you can put a turret on the drone and the NPCs do not attack the drone

This was suggested in the Drone Turrets forum quite some time ago.

I recall looking into it around that time, but it didn't seem very easy to implement at the time because Rust has coded NPCs to basically only be able to target players. I'll look into it again to see if anything has changed or if I can identify new solutions.

I think what people are typically doing for now is just preventing drone turrets from targeting NPCs in the config.
