it would be nice, if you give an update step-by-step, when a complete overhauled/reworked plugin is done.
I am afraid to run into failures or total chaotic item sorting.

Yes, stack sizes have to be set all over again. That's why there is no migration guide. There really isn't one. Everythings changed. You can manually copy the data file overrides to the new data file but that'll be slow. 

Sorry, automated migration would have doubled development time. I'm implementing versioning on the configuration and data file allowing me to automatically update those files without losing existing overrides for future versions. Even if another maintainer takes the plugin in the future, the system would still be easy for them to use as well. So hopefully future proofing the plugin a bit.
