It's not working.
Download is in the queue, but nothing is happening.

I can confirm /silt not working for me either.

When using /silt all i get is a message saying that it has been added to the download queue and thats it, no text gets added to the wooden sign.

Do images sometimes just disappear after a while for you as well? My players are reporting this issue.

Seems to be duplicate of /silt not working - http vs https

Found the fix for /silt not working. Update the two string urls with (http) to (https).

In the plugin...

Change this:

To make SILT work replace http with https in lines 1448 and 1894.

The http to https works however, there is still an issue when the server restarts all silt based signs are blank. Not sure why this is, nothing in the logs to show any error, it's as if the images simply dissapear

It is not necessary the fault of sign artist and a common problem with rust server and how they store and handle images. Just google for "rust server images vanish".
