I got mono and libgdiplus running and they work fine how ever Sign Artist does not seem to work, it does compile and run but no image seem to appear when using /sil <url>. It does tell you it added the job to a queue and that it finished downloading etc. The sign does how ever remain blank.

Is Sign Artist not working on Linux anymore?
