Server is lagging, possible attack?
Is there any way someone might be able to lag your server?

I dont see anything in the console but there was so many lag and i'm suspecting someone to do this on purpose since it started after he was confronted about his behaviour and punished for it. The timing is.... weird, that I doubt that these lag issues just started to happen at the same time by coincidence.

My console doesnt show anything, no plugins or what not, so what else could this be? The chat and player movement was simply frozen for 10 seconds. This happened multiple times already. I dont see spikes in people their ping and the console shows no errors so im confused.
The last patch was causing some issues, nothing to worry about.

but im experiencing this problem today, not yesterday
DDoS is a common problem these days unfortunately. The only way around it is moving to one of those bigger providers who specialize in ddos mitigation.

Tell us about youer server. If you have < 50 online it doesnt looks as DDOS attack, looks as its plugin issues or hardware issues

It was rubber banding heavily with about 30 people online. I dont see anything in console from plugins that could be causing this.

Im renting from GTX and I think that's one of the best & fastest hosts for Rust.

Im thinking of reinstalling the server next wipe. Because I usually only wipe normally and i've been renting this box for over 4 months. I guess that won't hurt and is probably adviced to do every once in a while, right? I format my home pc every year too to keep it run smoothly so I guess on a server this wouldn't hurt too to to every once in a while to clean up old useless junk. Of course I will be making a backup of my important oxide files so I can put those back. What do you guys think about that?
