Updating manually with hosted server?Solved
I'm currently using low.ms to host my server. they always seem to be slow on oxide updates and each time there's an oxide update they delay the server for at least an hour. I was wondering if there are some sort of scripts available or ways I can do this myself so I don't have to wait on them? Or if it's not that simple can someone explain to me how oxide update works please? Thanks!
If you are using a hosted server without full access to the files, you’d have to wait for them to update if necessary.
i see, but does the script change after every oxide update or something? or are they just getting the new update automatically wrong.

I don't know what setup your host has, so that'd be a question for them. The URL we provide does not change.

I just checked the link to your server host and find that you have a control panel which allows you full ftp access , I would suggest going to their help/support section and ask them for advice on how to update oxide/steam . BTW you must stop the server before you do either (as well as when you update data files)

Completely understandable. They have claimed that they fixed it this time and it would be automatic updated. Hoping that it is the case.

I have been on two hosted servers , one without ftp access, where i had to wait for any updates to be installed by the host and the one i am on now where i do have full ftp access, and I am the one that updates any files (not the host) , that is after all the reason for renting a host who offers this service which is reducing the delay in installing updates.
