Preventing config and data files from being deleted?
The only way to update oxide on my server panel is siomply uninstalling and reinstalling oxide. However when i have to reload my plugins the Configs for them get erased as well as the config for who has access to what plugins such as groups and individuals. Question is whats the best way to back up and reload the same config everytime i reinstall oxide to update it?
You’d need to check with your host, as Oxide itself doesn’t delete any of those files. Generally FTP is a good option to backup field yourself though, if your host provides that.
Is there a file that stores the groups and players and shows who has the pers so i can edit that file itself instead of going in game

my server host shows a oxide.groups folder in the server config area however when i click on it it shows its empty even tho i have groups on the server. and when i manually go to where the host says that file is located its not actually there

I find mine in the DATA folder under oxide\data\BetterChat\Groups\BetterChat.json (it used to be under
server\streamline\oxide\data\BetterChat\Groups\BetterChat.json but there was some problem with that).

What server host as you using ? ,
